Blocking Application Installs on Windows 10

When setting up a computer, especially a Family computer - you may want to block application installs if non admin or similar.  Now looking online this is possible if the application is installed via the windows installer -( gpedit.msc) see link to use: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-prevent-users-from-installing-programs-in-windows-7

But for applications like Chrome & Mozilla Firefox and many others they do not need access to the windows installer to be installed.

But what you can now do in the latest version of Windows 10 is to set up an admin account and enable 'Allow Apps from the Windows Store Only' See this guide on how to enable it : https://www.zdnet.com/article/windows-10-to-permit-block-on-apps-installing-if-theyre-not-from-microsoft-store/

Now when you log into the user account they can only install apps from the windows store. So we are almost there. Now the computer should be sufficiently locked down to not have random applications installed by family users.

K13 Nissan Micra - 2010 - 2016 indicator stalk fix and removal

This is just a quick post as there is no information on how to fix a K13 Nissan Micra indicator stalk, so model years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016. If the indicator, still works but the lights do not flash, you could also try this for your wipers or headlights as the contacts are similar.  (This is considering you have already checked the bulbs and flasher relay. If the hazards work fine then, this is probably what you want to be looking into.  So the indicator on a K13 Micra would not work on the right turn the left worked fine, so did the soft-touch indicator for turning in both directions. After looking for a replacement and discovering that they are not easily obtainable - I noticed that you would not need to remove the steering wheel to fix it. KDE Connect Remote Comands for Mac

If you have an iPhone with a Mac, you are probably pretty used to having connectivity between your Phone, iPad and Mac. If you have a windows device, you can connect you r Phone via  Your Phone Companion - Link to Windows , and it's a similar story if you have a Chromebook and an android device.  But what if you have a Mac and an android device? This is where you can use KDE connect. It's a two-part install: 1) Install the  desktop app  (Still in early release for Mac). 2) Install the  companion app on your Android device. You can read more about what  KDE connect  is and how you can use it on the site's main page.  Anyway, this is not a guide on how to get set up using KDE connect.
